Overview
These terms apply to all online programmes offered by Varsha Seshan, including Online Creative Writing Programmes and Online Book Clubs. By completing payment and registering for a programme, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
Nature of Programmes
All programmes offered are online, live sessions conducted via video conferencing. They are not physical products and do not involve any shipping or delivery of goods. Programmes include:
Online Creative Writing Programme
- 12-week programme for ages 9–11 and ages 12–14
- Twelve online interactions of one hour each
- Access to a private, password-protected forum for sharing work and receiving feedback 2–3 guest sessions by invited experts
- Compilation of selected work into an e-magazine at the end of the programme
Online Book Clubs
- 12-session programme for ages 7–8 and ages 9–10
- Forty-five minute online sessions
- Activities including vocabulary work, creative writing, drama, and drawing Until one week before the programme begins, the fee includes books delivered anywhere in India
Refund Policy
All fees paid are strictly non-refundable.
As each batch is limited to a very small number of participants, a confirmed registration occupies a seat that cannot be offered to another child. For this reason, no refunds are offered under any circumstances, including: change of mind after registration, inability to attend sessions due to scheduling conflicts, technical difficulties on the participant’s end, withdrawal from the programme partway through, or absence from individual sessions.
If you are unsure whether a programme is the right fit, please reach out before registering. For Book Clubs, you may consider signing up to read just one book as a trial (contact us for the fee). No such trial option is available for the Writing Programme.
Trial Sessions
No trial or demo sessions are offered for any programme. Please review the FAQs and programme details carefully before registering. Suitability
Please ensure the programme is a good fit before registering. Fees are non-refundable even if a participant is found to be unsuitable after the programme begins.
Creative Writing Programme:
Recommended for children who love writing and are comfortable writing at length in English. Not suitable for children who struggle with English or who are looking for grammar or language instruction.
Book Clubs:
Recommended for children who enjoy reading, or who want to develop a love for reading, and who have a good internet connection. For Read, Write, Explore (ages 9–10), children must be able and willing to read independently outside of class time.
Missed Sessions and Recordings
Sessions will not be recorded. For Writing Programmes, a brief overview of the class and assignment details will be shared on the private forum. No make-up sessions are offered for missed classes, and no fee adjustment or refund is provided for missed sessions.
Payments
Payments may be made via UPI to seshanvarsha@icici, QR code scan (available on the registration page), or bank transfer (contact us for details). Registration is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment. Early bird fees apply only until the date stated in the programme announcement.
Payment Queries
If you have made a payment and have not received a confirmation, please allow up to 2 business days and then contact us with proof of payment. If you believe you have been incorrectly charged, please contact us within 7 days of the transaction.
